Products of the compound YBaCuO (123) permitted the first demonstration of superconductivity at liquid nitrogen temperatures.

Bulk YBCO offers the possibility of liquid nitrogen cooled shielding, motors, bearings and levitators while YBCO targets are used to develop the next generation of conductors based on thin film technology.

Nexans Superconductors offers YBaCuO and other rare earth powders of variable starting mixtures, sintered parts for melt textured growth, multi-or single domain samples of melt textured material and sputter targets. The levitation forces of our melt processed products are among the best in the world and while we do not yet offer to levitate Sumo wrestlers we are able to offer small levitation demonstrator kits for schools, collages and institutions.
