Description
Helical dead ends and intermediate suspension spirals are used to support aerial cables of type ADSS.
They are used either as dead ends at poles where a splice, a connection or end point is needed, or as an intermediate suspension used to support the cable in situations where mid-span access is not required, or the cable angle does not exceed 16˚.
These cable suspensions involve the use of metal spirals, These spirals are wound around the outer cable sheath, so as to counteract mechanical stress in a span length over a controlled lifespan.
All these components are part of the aerial system of Nexans global solution.
