Nexans to host the upcoming CIGRE event at its historic site in Switzerland
HV cables play a key role in our society by enabling high-power energy transmission through dense areas where overhead lines (OHL) are too restricted in available space. They are also important to connect grid node power subsystems and can provide additional energy transport options when bundled with other infrastructures such as traffic tunnels, gas and water pipes and so on. Experts already study and pilot further architectures, such as superconductors or pressurized air cables.
Nexans is pleased to host the next CIGRE event at its historical site located in Switzerland on 22nd of August to address these key topics.
Join us on 22nd of August from 12.45 at our historical site in Switzerland to learn more about these innovations. A series of technical presentations will be made from CIGRE experts as well as Nexans experts.
13.45: Technical Presentations from CIGRE SWITZERLAND
– CIGRE Trondheim Update, SC B1 Cables, Swiss Member Detlef Wald
– Transmission Project Gotthard, Swissgrid Mathias Langer & Enertrans Sacha Weber
– Superlight PV Panels & Applications, Laure-Emanuelle Perret (to be confirmed)
14.45: Technical Presentations from NEXANS Switzerland
– Nexans Switzerland & Production Site Cortaillod, Marco Spinelli, CEO
