Advantages
Nexans H07ZZ-F PROTECT cables, available as single-core conductors from 35 to 630 mm2, have been designed to be flame non-propagating, halogen-free, and to emit low smoke in the event of a fire. The gases released are neither acidic nor corrosive. Thanks to their excellent fire performance (minimum Cca-s1a, d2, a1), they are particularly suited to critical buildings such as ERP and IGH. They can also be used in workplace buildings (ERT) or in residential buildings.
Nexans H07ZZ-F PROTECT cables contain 10% recycled copper, reducing their carbon footprint. Nexans provides all environmental data for its products (PEP Ecopassport).
The advantages of this range are:

- 95 mm2 to 630 mm2: B2ca-s1a, d2, a1
- Manufactured in France at our Bohain plant

Installation
Nexans H07ZZ-F PROTECT cables can be installed on cable trays, on racks, inside cable ducts, or fixed to walls, outdoors with or without protection. They can also be buried with additional mechanical protection, or without protection thanks to their good UV resistance.
Maximum continuous operating temperature of the conductor under normal conditions:
- +60°C (in all mobile installation cases)
- +90°C (fixed and protected installation)
- +250°C (in case of short circuit)
The current-carrying capacity is measured for an ambient temperature of 30°C and a maximum conductor operating temperature of 90°C, in accordance with IEE Table 4F2A.

CONSTRUCTION
Conductor : Electrolytic copper, class 5 (flexible), in accordance with EN 60228 and IEC 60228.
Insulation : Halogen-free thermosetting rubber, type EI8 according to EN 50363-5.
Outer sheath : Halogen-free flexible thermosetting rubber, type EM8 according to EN 50363-6.
Black colour.
Minimum bending radius
- Dynamic: 6 to 8 x the overall diameter of the cable.
- Static: 3 x the overall diameter of the cable if the diameter is under or equal to 12 mm; 4 x if the overall diameter is over 12 mm.
Pulling force on cable conductors
When pulling cables, all conductors must share the mechanical load equally. The pulling force must under no circumstances exceed 15 N/mm2 of overall cross-section.
However, the maximum pulling force must never exceed 1000 N in total, even if the above rule could lead to higher values for large cable cross-sections.
