Designed specifically for electricians and installers, CableLoop for Professionals is a cable buyback and recycling service available in-store.

In just three simple steps, Nexans buys your leftover cables and electrical wires directly at the branch, manages logistics in partnership with distributors, and guarantees recycling—so that recovered materials can be reintegrated into the production of the next generation of recycled, low-carbon cables.

The goal is twofold: to make cable waste management easier for professionals and to give cables a second life.

3 benefits of recycling your cables with CableLoop

  • Recycle your cables at your local branch, independently
Drop off your copper*, sheathed copper**, or mixed cables*** in just three simple steps using a connected recycling terminal available in-store.

  • Get attractive rates for your cable waste
Access real-time metal-based pricing, updated regularly, directly at our in-store stations or online in just a few clicks—24/7. To ensure fair pricing, specific rates apply to each of the three cable categories.

  • Contribute to tomorrow’s electrification by recycling your cables
Depending on the collection country, cable waste is processed at one of our partner recycling centers, prioritizing short supply chains. For example, cables collected in France are processed at RecyCâbles—our joint venture with Suez and the European leader in cable recycling and recovery. The recovered materials are then sent to specialized channels, including Nexans, to manufacture the next generation of recycled, low-carbon cables.

*Sheathed copper cables: U1000 R2V, H07RN-F, H07V-U/V-R, CR1 C1, H05VV-F…
**Bare copper cables: copper from stripped electrical cables, without plastic sheath, not burned.
***Unsorted cables (including LAN): All unsorted copper cables, low-voltage (TV, LAN, Telephone).

How to Recycle Your Cables at CableLoop terminals

1. Drop off your cable waste: The electrician places leftover cables in dedicated bins.

2. Weigh the cable bins: Using the connected scale, the electrician weighs the first bin, scans the QR code, and selects the cable category on the screen to view its financial value. This process is repeated for each bin to calculate the total value.

3. Receive your transfer certificate: If the electrician accepts the offer, a transfer certificate is issued to confirm the transaction.
