A new generation of fire protection cables
Protect is Nexans' range of rigid cables designed to meet the most stringent fire protection requirements. Compliant with the XP C 32-325 standard, it is specially adapted to installations in Public Access Buildings (PAB) and High-Rise Buildings (HRB).
Thanks to their excellent fire resistance, halogen-free composition and low emission of opaque smoke and corrosive gases, Protect cables play a key role in limiting the spread of fire and protecting occupants.
High fire performance
Protect FR-N1X6G3 cables are classified Cca-s2,d2,a2 according to the Construction Products Regulations (CPR).
They are non-flammable, halogen-free and give off little smoke or noxious gases.
Regulatory compliance
The range is fully compliant with standard XP C 32-325, published in December 2024, notably to meet changing regulations in Public Access Buildings (PAB) and High-Rise Buildings (HRB).
A safe choice for all projects subject to strict constraints.

Easy, time-saving installation
Inspired by the ergonomics of Distingo U-1000 R2V cable, the Protect range has been designed with installers in mind: Easy strippability; Metric marking; Visual indicators (cross-section, number of conductors); White rectangle for on-site identification; Available in Mobiway®, for fast unwinding and easy transport.
Local manufacturing and environmental commitment
Protect cables are manufactured in Autun, France, using 10% recycled copper.
All environmental data are available in PEP Ecopassport® sheets.
