On June 4th, Nexans inaugurated its brand new innovation hub in Hanover, Germany, Nexans Stella Nova, with the attendance of customers and partners as well as officials.
This new cutting edge Centre of Excellence is one of the beating hearts of Nexans, driving the next- generation of electrification technologies, from superconducting cable systems to cryogenic transfer lines technologies and forming and welding machines.
Nexans Stella Nova marks the beginning of a new journey for Nexans Acceleration Units, driven by innovation and our long standing expertise.
The event gathered partners, customers as well as officials for a full day of discovery around Nexans MCS (Machines, Cryogenics, Superconductivity) core activities and expanded capabilities, including precision forming, laser welding technologies, cryogenic transfer systems, and HTS (High-Temperature Superconducting) power applications.
From keynotes speeches to exciting discoveries on innovative businesses and applications, from an exclusive site tour to meeting the teams behind the solutions – the event has been an important milestone in the evolution of the electrical solutions industry and a great opportunity to deep dive into the future of cable and electrical solutions. On this occasion, Nexans Group also unveiled a world-first demonstration: a test bench showcasing the benefits of superconducting cables for powering data centres using low-voltage alternating current (LV AC) and direct current (LV DC) connected to data halls racks.
