Nexans France renews its support to the PoleS association

In order to act against the digital divide among its employees, Nexans France is renewing its support to the PoleS association.

Paris, La Défense, February 2, 2021 - Nexans has entered into a national partnership with the PoleS association to set up digital mediation workshops within its sites, aimed at Nexans employees who have difficulty using digital technology or even with electronics. 

Following the success of the first experiment carried out with the personnel of the Draveil site (Essonne), the Human Resources department of Nexans proposed PoleS to deploy its digital mediation workshops on all 17 French production sites for nearly 600 operators.

This partnership and the associated service, worth 150,000 euros for 2021, will consolidate PoleS' activities and in particular, initiatives related to digital mediation.

In a difficult socio-economic context, this cooperation illustrates the capacity for innovation and economic development demonstrated by solidarity economy associations in working-class neighborhoods, as well as Nexans' commitment to CSR through its policy of digital inclusion for its employees.

This partnership also expresses the desire of Nexans and PoleS to be part of the recovery plan "Digital Daily Life: training and support for the French people" launched by the government.

About PoleS

PoleS is an associative structure born in 1987 in La Caravelle (Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Hauts-de-Seine) and established in several districts of Ile-de-France (Villeneuve-la-Garenne 92, Gonesse 95, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine 93, Pantin 93, Vitry-sur-Seine 94, Poissy 78, Massy 91) and in Marseille (13th and 14th, North districts). PoleS operates in the fields of integration, professional training, popular education, particularly from a digital perspective: web schools, fablabs, digital mediation, and employs more than 200 people.
